CYH Family Financial Aid
Our goal is to enable any child wishing to play hockey in Cambridge to do so.
We realize that hockey can be an expensive sport. Through our fundraising efforts and scholarship fund, we are proud to be able to offer some financial assistance to those families most in need. Scholarships typically cover a maximum 50% of tuition fees, although special consideration may be made for families in need of more.
Financial aid is available for CYH travel teams, CYH Hometown Hockey League, CYH Instructional Hockey (youth) and Learn to Skate programs. Regrettably, CYH is unable to award scholarships to players also committed to a club team. CYH reserves the right to consider past disciplinary actions when making scholarship decisions.
In order to be considered for financial aid, please register your child(ren) for the applicable program(s). If necessary, also please obtain a USAH hockey number (the registration will prompt this if it is necessary). Following registration, please fill out the scholarship application. Note that scholarship money is given on a first-come first-serve basis so we ask that you do this as soon as possible. You should expect to hear directly from the scholarship committee by email, although it that may take several weeks or more. In the meantime, it is OK for your child(ren) to participate in the program.
CYH realizes that asking for assistance may be difficult for some members. We want to assure you that all information related to application and disbursements will be kept in the strictest of confidence and will only be shared with the applicant and the CYH Financial Aid Committee. CYH reserves the right to verify information requested.
